Building Green

At Conifer-LeChase Construction, delivering high-quality affordable housing projects is our number one priority. We are committed to being a leader in green building practices within the affordable housing communities because building green will provide direct benefits by reducing energy consumption (reduced utility bills) and by creating healthier living environments (improved quality of life/lower healthcare costs) with the end result being higher quality, more efficient and more durable buildings.

In addition to being less harmful to the environment and our natural resources, green buildings create healthy indoor air quality and utilize renewable resources which all prove to be affordable. Buildings using energy efficient products also save money. Housing built by Conifer-LeChase utilizes ENERGY STAR appliances, light fixtures and heating systems. ENERGY STAR was created to help consumers easily identify products, homes, and buildings that save energy and money, and help protect the environment. As the government-backed, trusted symbol for energy efficiency, the ENERGY STAR label identifies highly efficient products and designates superior energy performance in homes and buildings.

We work with landscaping plans that include selective native trees and plants and choose species that are resistant to drought and disease, and require little to no fertilizers or maintenance. We also work to ensure that existing greenery is not disrupted when developing adaptive reuse projects.

Conifer-LeChase will develop and implement a quality assurance program that will include green features on your project as well as the designed and specified green building methods being used.

With LEED® Accredited Professionals on staff, Conifer-LeChase is at your side to provide sustainable solutions to truly affordable housing solutions that benefit the community and the environment.
